The water in my 190e has been leaking since a few days. I have checked for any suspect spots, and it seems it's dripping out from a pipe that goes down along the engine. This is about 1cm in diameter, black and is visible to the right & behind the alternator, going down along the engine. Since purchasing the 190e, I have had difficulties with varying fuel consumption issues. Symptons:- here is an example of varying consumption over the last two days and 1100 km's of pure highway running. Kms travelled 337 Litres purchased 47 Litres/per100 13.9 Time travelled Sat AM.
Scotland. Apr 10, 2006. #6. High fuel consumption has been caused by a faulty fuel distributor on someone else's 190E on another forum, along with erratic / high revs. It's an expensive part. Change plugs first though and then check stuff already mentioned. Also, visually check air filter.
