Been reading the posts on this subject and would like to say that i have owned my TIT X 1.8 Tdci for three years and the fuel logs that i keep show that the fuel consumption averages 44.3 mpg, this is not as good as my old MK3 2.0 tdci but i put it down to the mk4 being a heavier car with a smaller engine.
Overall it's a decent car and in my opinion quite underestimated. It does what it's supposed to do and it does it no worse than any of it's counterparts.Wann

1.8tdci water pump. Support engine with an engine support bar which sits between the 2 chassis legs. Remove left engine mount which sits between engine and chassis leg. Remove bit on engine which engine mount bolts to on left hand side of engine. Remove aux belt.
