Really, the only reason you’d want ultra-high impedance headphones like the 600-Ohm model is if you were listening with far out-of-date equipment exclusively, as it has a highI would do both. Get the 80 ohm and an amp. 250 Ohm "Pro" headphones aren't really designed for consumer use. Thats why it says pro. Your PC probably puts out 300mw at 32 ohm. Thats 32mw at 250 ohm. Fine for earbuds or iems. A little low but usable for 100mw headphones.

The DT 880 is designed with a preference for use with amplifiers, with a nominal impedence level of 250 Ohm. However, the sound pressure level is loud enough for all manner of applications and ensures these headphones are a versatile option. The beyerdynamic dt990 pro is having trouble handling bass and it cracks and distorts even when it isn't turned up too loud. This is what I used as a bass test. My bose qc 15 and she3590 can handle it fine, but the dt990 pros crack and distort. Honestly, the $8 philips sounded the best. .
