I have an 06 plate 2.0 diesel Mondeo. After a 2 week spell of being sat outside and not being used, I have found that the rear passenger side main lights do not work. all other lights work (indicators, brake lights etc) just not the side/main rear lights. Hi James. I removed the factory fitted stereo in my mk4 2008 mondeo and replaced with the lower spec surround with separate climate controls. Unfortunately as the climate controls used to be part of the touchscreen original stereo the car does not recognize the new climate controls.
The in-tailgate lights are all working and not giving any "Lamp out" messages. Mondeo Mk4 2.0 TDCi Ghia 140PS 2007 The ignition is on and I now have an Check the illumination of other switches, they use the same illumination source, from the light switch. Also double check fuses F46, F67 & F68, they all supply the cluster (IC). See what else works, like wipers, lights etc. They are controlled from a separate module, if most of them work, then at least battery power is getting to some of the car.
The feed for the main beam is at pin 5 of the headlight plug. If you have power (with plug connected to pin 5 then I would inspect the connections at the main beam bulb and check for a feed and earth across the main beam bulb connector. Kindest regards ***** *****. Brian.

So I opened everything up, bought new W5W bulbs. Changed then and put everything back together. Only to find out that HL brake light still did not work.

Well, the car is coming up to 5 years in September and ive only had it 4 months and although the warranty that came with the car didnt extend to aircon leaks, I basicly put it to the garage that regardless of if it broke before they sold it to me it is something that should have been checked by them and working before they sold the car.
